Before Start
The start of this marathon was near the local baseball stadium. The finish was inside the stadium on the 3rd base side. This was taken in the stadium before the start.
First Walk Break
This picture was taken during my first walk break. It was raining at the start.
About Mile 7
For the Rochester event there is a Marathon, and a Half Marathon. The full marathon is an out, followed by a loop and the a back. The half is a 6.55 miles out-n-back.
About Mile 15
At this point the rain has ended. Got to watch the finger over the lens.
At the Finish

With Dr. Ruth Morrow
Dr. Ruth is a member of the 50 States Marathon Club. She is the head of the music department at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, and earned her MM in Piano, MA in Musicology at Eastman College in Rochester. Eastman is one of the premier music schools in the USA and this was a chance for Ruth to come back to her graduate school stomping grounds. She earned her DM at Indiana University (which is why she goes back to run Tecumseh Trail Marathon.) She also teach at IU each summer in the IU Piano Academy. Impressive!
Just before this picture was taken I had purchased a Rochester Marathon running hat. Needing a place to put it while taking picture, I put it on the top of my other hat.
