Michele's Tribute

It is an understatement to express how shocked and saddened I am about the news of Al's passing.  I am ever more grateful that I got to know him early in the season (by the time of a late Oct 5K we were chatting regularly)

Jackie, thank you for keeping us informed in the thoughtful and sensitive way that we love about you.

Denver, thanks for reminding me about the Expo Booth duty.  I had forgotten where I had asked Al about his missing cell phone (he had misplaced it after water station duty the Saturday before and we scoured the Sr Center water storage looking for it but it had not been found when he left the Sr Ctr).  It was at the Expo the following Friday that Al happily told me his cell phone was found.  

We will all miss him in our own ways- but at this time I want to express an extra note of sympathy to fellow Leggger Jeannie (who identifies herself as "the other Jeannie") - I know you and Al were great training buddies. 

My deepest sympathy to Al's family, friends, and all of those in his Leggers family who will miss him.
