Al Vargas
MESSAGE FROM MIKE LYNCH, LA LEGGER PRESIDENT 2004-05
It
is with deep sadness that I inform you that Legger 10:30 pace group member Al
Vargas died of an apparent massive heart attack on Thursday, April 21, 2004
after finishing a run.
While
Al was a member of the 10:30 pace group he also ran with the 9.0 and 9.5 groups
and probably other groups as well. Al
was also a regular member of Club Run LA. He
finished his first marathon on March 6th, finishing L.A. Marathon XX in 4:18:45.

will miss his bright smile and spirit as we trudge through our mileage in the
